Creative Teams Announced for 2014 Theatre Season

The creative teams for the remaining shows in the Randolph Academy’s 2014 theatre season were announced today.

The Trojan Woman will be directed by Peter Pasyk, Artistic Director of surface/underground theatre. Peter’s productions have earned a total of 7 Dora Award Nominations including Outstanding Direction; also Peter was nominated for the Pauline McGibbon Award, and the John Hirsch Prize for his work as a director. Peter is the Urjo Kareda Artist-in-Residence at Tarragon Theatre for the 2013/14 season. [Full bio] The Trojan Woman  runs July 2-13 during the Toronto Fringe Festival at the Annex Theatre. Director/choreographer Timothy French and music director Jeannie Wyse will lead the Class of 2014 Into the Woods. Timothy French has directed and choreographed at the Shaw Festival, Soulpepper, Citadel, MTC, The Grand and with independent producers such as Acting Up Stage and Angelwalk Theatre.  His work has been regularly nominated for the Dora, Betty Mitchell and Sterling Awards.  He also worked as Resident Director on the Mirvish productions of The Producers and Dirty Dancing. [Full bio] Jeannie Wyse is a Randolph Academy faculty member who has served as a vocal coach on Over the Rainbow. Her credits include music director for Hair (The Grand Theatre) and for the Georgian Theatre Festival (Meaford) for two seasons. In 2010, Jeannie served as Assistant Conductor/Keyboardist for Jersey Boys (Dancap) and was the Children's Musical Director for the The Sound of Music (Mirvish). It's Curtains for director/choreographer Anne Allan and  music director Mark Camilleri, the dynamic duo behind last winter's production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Anne Allan is the artistic director of the Charlottetown Festival, who has directed for The Stratford Shakespeare Festival, Canadian Stage, Toronto Operetta, Stage West, Theatre Aquarius, The National Arts Centre, as well as  served as associate producer of TV series Triple Sensation.
