Melinda Little

Melinda studied theatre at York University in Toronto and Laban Movement through the Laban/Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies in New York. She is a Certified Laban Movement Analyst and has worked as a teacher at Ryerson University, the University of Essex and The Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts as well as being a guest artist in the Toronto District School Board through the Ontario Arts Council’s Artists in Education program. She has been a movement coach on many shows including The Comedy of Errors at CanStage’s Dream in the Park. Melinda has been an actor for over 25 years and has performed and toured across Canada, the States and Europe including work with Theatre Passe Muraille, the Great Canadian Theatre Company, Mermaid Theatre, Theatre Beyond Words, Tarragon Theatre, Theatre Rusticle and many other independent companies in Toronto. She has written two plays, The Peace Line and Shiksas Sit Shiva (co-written with Catherine Hayos). Melinda was a member of the Tarragon Theatre's Playwright's Unit in 2008. Upcoming projects include a movement based theatre project entitled Flow and guest teaching at the University of Waterloo.
