Candice Helm



Candice received her professional training at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School - Professional Division – and the National Ballet School - TTP. In addition to Randolph College for the Performing Arts since 2002, other teaching credits include York University, Ryerson University, University of Toronto/Hart House, Canada’s National Ballet School, George Brown Dance/Ballet Jörgen Canada, and the Quinte Ballet School of Canada. Candice regularly teaches open class at Metro Movement Dance Studio and In Studio/National Ballet of Canada. She has been invited to teach both students and teachers through various Roman Catholic Separate School Boards and Public School Boards including the Quinte-Prince Edward and Kawartha Pine Ridge Districts Boards of Education- Quinte/ Peterborough, and the Near North District School Board- North Bay. Guest teaching includes the Cecchetti Canada- Ontario Branch, Ross Creek Centre for the Performing Arts- Canning, NS, CDTA DANCEJAM- Regina, SK, Pure Class Dance Arts Association- Edmonton, AB, and Experience Dance- Thunder Bay, ON. Classically trained in piano, Candice has also worked as a ballet accompanist for the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, George Brown College (Lois Smith), Trent University, and Peterborough New Dance, as well as teaching music for dancers and teachers, and training ballet accompanists. A Fellow member of Cecchetti Canada, her classes are considered to be technique-based and fast-paced, with a strong musical and rhythmical focus.
