Misha Rasaiah

Misha Rasaiah, originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, began dancing and performing at the age of four at the Sherry Walsh Academy of Dance Arts. There she studied various disciplines of dance, which include: Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Modern, Lyrical, Contemporary, Ballroom & Latin, Hip Hop and Musical Theatre. Throughout her training she also competed in various competitions in Canada and the USA. Misha completed the British Association of Teachers of Dancing Program, receiving her teaching diplomas in ballet, jazz and stage (tap). Upon graduation, Misha moved to Toronto to further her education in dance and pursue her passion for the performing arts, health and fitness. Her career in Toronto began with dancing two seasons for the Toronto Raptors Dance Pak. During that time she also danced in various music videos and in multiple dance companies. In her spare time Misha often attended every musical production she could. Wanting to further her education in singing, acting and dancing she decided to audition for the Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts, where she was accepted and received a diploma in musical theatre. After graduating from Randolph Academy’s program, Misha attended her first professional musical theatre audition where she met a casting director who offered her a job that very same day, assisting with film, television and musical theatre auditions. It was this day that led her to a long career working as an associate alongside the Emmy Award-winning Casting Director Stephanie Gorin. Misha worked many years in casting, reading and breaking down multiple scripts, attending various screenings and working countless number of auditions alongside directors, choreographers, producers and performers from all over the world. After doing this she decided to form a production company, “IMtime Pictures” to create and produce her own projects. She is currently producing a miniseries with her creative team. Additionally, Misha is a certified personal trainer and is certified in DTS Level 1, Postural Anatomy (Darby Training Systems) and Nutrition and Wellness. Misha’s greatest influences are her parents and her siblings. Being the last-born child of eleven children, Misha has had the opportunity to be enveloped in all of her siblings’ life experiences and individual creative outlooks on life and therefore take pieces for her own. Her parents and her siblings’ free-spirited expressions inspired her love for music, dance and passion for the arts. Misha is also greatly inspired by the artistic stylings of Michael Jackson and Fred Astaire, the comedic work of Jim Carey and the timeless creations of The Beatles. Misha has a great passion for teaching and inspiring people to make positive life choices and changes and have fun while doing it. –“If you can imagine it, you can achieve it, if you can dream it, you can become it.”
